Amla Oil Benefits For Hair

Amla oil is one of the most famous traditional oils that has been used throughout time to treat and reinforce hair growth in India.

What is Amla oil and what is made of?

Amla is known as Indian Gooseberry which is native to India. Gooseberry is a fruit that grows in tropical and subtropical areas mostly in Asia, America, and the Middle East. In fact, Gooseberries can be greenish and reddish in colour. They are savoury and have a sour taste along with a sweetness that comes across. It is also juicy, pulpy, and soft. It reminds you of lemons or grapes.

Moreover, Amla oil is extracted from gooseberry fruit Amla by pressing the fruit seeds and then filtered to remove the remains of the fruits. After that, they obtain a light golden oil.

There are different Amla oils that are produced in India

  1. Golden Amla Oil: Almond oil is added to the original extract of Amla oil. It helps treat damaged hair and split ends.

2. Green Amla Oil: It has a dark green colour. It helps hair growth and reinforces black hair pigmentation.

How to prepare an Amla mask for damaged hair?

You need:

  1. 4 TBSP of Amla powder
  2. Water
  3. 1 TBSP of coconut oil
  4. 1 TBSP OF aloe Vera gel. (optional)

Firstly, mix the ingredients together until you obtain a thick paste. Secondly, apply to your hair and cover it for 1 hour. Thirdly, wash off the mask with your regular shampoo. Finally, hydrate your hair with hair serums to have nice beautiful hair.
